The only barrier to do anything is in your mind!
Hello, my name is Jothi (pronounced Joe-T). I was diagnosed with multiple myeloma cancer at the age of 40. My version of myeloma is lambda, meaning I have too many lambda light chains. I also have the myeloma mutations of 1q gain and 14;16 translocation, meaning in the game of myeloma, I’m playing on hard mode.
My point with this blog is to share my experiences and data, with the hope to help other people affected by cancer.
I regularly post my labs with the purpose of you being able to compare them with yours. If my numbers are better than yours, why? If yours are better than mine, why? I believe the more information out there, the better.
Along my journey, I have discovered that I am very passionate about nutrition, what we put into ourselves, and the effects of that on our bodies.
When we meet real tragedy in life, we can react in two ways – either by losing hope and falling into self-destructive habits, or by using the challenge to find our inner strength.

Become what you want to see in the world, and it will be so. If you want an amazing relationship with your partner, be an amazing partner. If you want people to be thoughtful and kind, be thoughtful and kind. Small changes in your actions change your entire world.

My labs are back, and here are my latest numbers. I skipped posting last month because I was busy. Last month my m-band made a peep and became detectable but not quantifiable. This month is the same. I don’t know if that’s my “pal” myeloma saying “hello” or if it’s part of an immune response.…
Labs 1/27/26
While there is some truth to “going back to normal,” most people don’t think about how I’ve spent the last number of years killing my blood, and there are consequences of doing that. My body is changed from the ordeal. The hidden parts of cancer that only cancer people and their close ones know about.
