  1. Hi Jothi,

    Nila appreciates you blog.

She didn’t eat for over a month, and I decided to throw together some real medicine together, so I made this soup for her. It got her back to eating and she says it saved her life.

I’ve never cooked by recipe before, so am attempting to back engineer what I made by popular demand. So, adjust to your taste.

THE SOUP THAT BROUGHT NILA BACK TO LIFE
    1) 2 quarts – thin unsalted vegetable broth, or just water.
    2) 10 – cloves of fresh peeled garlic, diced.
    3) 8 – thinly sliced pieces of fresh ginger (don’t worry about the outer covering)
    4) 1 – large finely chopped onion (color your choice I used brown)
    5) 1/8 lb – unsalted butter
    6) 1 Tbs – Curry powder (if you don’t have that just use 2 tsp Tumeric, 1 tsp black pepper and a pinch of Coriander)
    7) ½ squeeze lemon (don’t add the peel it makes it too tart)
    8) 1 jalapeno, or 2 serranoes’, finely chopped
    9) Braggs Liquid Aminos (soy sauce) add as needed to get the salt correct. If you used salted butter and/or salted vegetable broth you may not need any.

Bring it to a boil then let it simmer on low. When you serve it pore it through a fine strainer and dump what’s in the strainer back into the soup.
I keep the soup for three days on the stove, off most of the time, adding liquid, curry powder and Braggs as it gets low. Then I throw it away and start over.
